Bigg Boss
Actor Tanushree Dutta, best known for her Bollywood debut in Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), has revealed that she has been approached by the makers of Bigg Boss for over a decade but has consistently turned them down. Speaking to Bollywood Thikana, she claimed she was once offered as much as Rs 1.65 crore to join the reality show hosted by Salman Khan but refused, saying her privacy and dignity mattered more.
Tanushree explained why she could never be part of the controversial show. “Do you really think I would go to a show like that? I can’t stay in such a place; I don’t even live with my family. Even if they gave me a piece of the moon, I wouldn’t go,” she said. The actress added that she was even contacted by the show’s stylist, who promised to take care of her diet, but she declined firmly.
Taking a strong stance against the format, Tanushree remarked, “Men and women sleep in the same hall, fight there, live there I can’t do that. Do I seem like the kind of woman who will sleep on the same bed with a man for a reality show? I’m not that cheap. My privacy is valuable to me.”
Tanushree Dutta’s career began after she won the Femina Miss India Universe 2004 title. She went on to star in films like Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets, Bhagam Bhag, Saas Bahu Aur Sensex, and Rokkk, before stepping away from the spotlight. Her last screen appearance was in SuperCops vs Super Villains in 2013.
For Tanushree, no amount of money or glamour can replace her personal values. Her rejection of Bigg Boss highlights her firm belief in preserving dignity over fame, a choice not many in the industry make.
