Deepika Padukone admits seeing other men while dating Ranveer Singh; fans in shock

Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently graced the first episode of the 8th season of the popular chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’, taking social media by storm with their stunning revelations.

Both Ranveer and Deepika were in a fun banter and often poked fun at each other. They even admitted to being secretly engaged since 2015 and Ranveer revealed how he proposed to her on an island. However, it was Deepika’s statement that has left the internet divided.

During the conversation, Deepika admitted that she was seeing other men while dating Ranveer Singh.

“I wanted to be single for a while because I had come out of a couple of difficult relationships and I was going through this phase where I said I just wanted not to be attached or committed. I just wanted to have fun because this is the age. And then he (Ranveer Singh) comes along,” Deepika says.

“But, I did not commit to him. In fact, until he proposed to me, there was no real commitment as such. Even if we were technically allowed to see other people, we would just keep coming back to each other. So, I did meet other people, but wasn’t too interested or excited by anyone that I was seeing and in my mind, I was committed to him,” she added.

“So, I would meet other people, but at the back of my mind it was like I’m going back to him,” she concluded.

Her statement has left the internet divided with some fans accusing her of cheating while others stood by her and claimed that it was the process she realised that he was the man. 

‘Koffee with Karan’ season 8 will be available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, with new games, including the all-time favourite Rapid Fire on October 26 with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
