Karan Johar is gearing up for the next season of Koffee with Karan on Disney Plus Hotstar. And as expected Shah Rukh Khan is definitely going to be on the couch this season.
However, it is not SRK but his son Aryan Khan who is going to be a star attraction as he will be debuting on the KWK couch accompanied by his father. Most probably, Gauri Khan will also join them during the session and it is expected to be a highly revealing session, especially about the bond between the three and Aryan Khan as a person and personality.
Rumours are strong that The Archies team including Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor will also debut on the talk show this season. But this is quite normal for Koffee with Karan because the famous director ensures that every year star kids are introduced or their movies and ventures are promoted on his show.
Even though other actors too find a place in his show they are mostly established actors who have found success on their own without any support from Godfathers like Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon,
It is quite evident that either only established actors or Bollywood stars will find a place on the show’s couch or someone who belongs to A-listed Bollywood families like the Bachchan or the Khan's families. Almost all the members of the Bachchan family including Shweta Bachchan who is not even into movies have been a part of this show and that too multiple times.
While star kid newbies like Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor are invited even before becoming a star on the show, it takes the likes of Ayushmann Khurrana or Kartik Aaryan to give big hits like Andhadhun or Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety respectively to find a place on Karan’s couch.
Big-time actors like Govinda or even Deol family members are yet to get the invitation whereas someone like Sara Ali Khan who is yet to become an established star in the film industry has already been on the show multiple times.
Based on these instances, many believe that Karan Johar is obsessed with star kids and is more inclined towards favouring members from a certain clan or family.
