Shah Rukh Khan’s popularity has once again escalated after the massive success of YRF-produced Pathaan. The movie helped SRK bounce back after a sabbatical of a couple of years. He had taken a break from acting after a few of his movies flopped back to back.
With Pathaan the Badshaah of Bollywood has regained his throne. And apart from SRK and the production house, one person who has been most benefitted is none other than his daughter Suhana Khan.
The last two years were full of turmoil for the Khan family as Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB for his alleged involvement in a drug case. Though highly troubled, the superstar did not lose his cool and handled the situation quietly.
That was the time when SRK, his children Suhana and Aryan were badly slammed by social media users. Cut to 2023 and the picture has changed completely as Aryan was proven innocent and Pathaan has once again made Shah Rukh Khan the darling of the Indian audience.
And that is certainly going to help Suhana Khan who is all set to make a debut with The Archies that will release on Netflix on November 24, 2023.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Reema Kagtai in collaboration with the Gully Boy director, The Archies also has other star kids like Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor along with a few other youngsters portraying the different characters from the popular comics.
But it is Suhana Khan who is attracting a lot of attention and her chemistry with Agastya even off the screen has already sparked dating rumours.
Netflix, India is currently struggling to attract an audience as it is facing tough competition from Prime Video and JioCinema which has grabbed the best deals from renowned production houses.
Currently, it has only two noteworthy projects Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi and Zoya’s The Archies from India. Incidentally, Netflix has even omitted Heeramandi from the announcement list and only The Archies will be announced in its global fan event Tudum in Brazil.
Every year Netflix makes announcements of its upcoming projects at Tudum and until now the Indian branch of the digital platform has taken pride in announcing hit projects but except The Archies this year Netflix, India has nothing much to offer at Tudum.
And, the reason why The Archies has been given this honour is solely because Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh is an important part of this movie.
