Hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, the actress started her career as a dance contestant at shows like Dance India Dance Li'l Masters and Dance Ke Superstars. While her acting debut started with Meri Maa, she was seen in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in the fifth season. 

The actress also captured hearts as young Rajkumari Damyanti in Savitri (2012) and as young Paaki in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan (2013). Kaur kicked off her movie debut in 2014 with the movie Mardaani.
