Vijay Deverakonda says, 'I need them warm, ready for me so when I come... Watch

Vijay Deverakonda is currently going through a rough patch in his career. His last two releases-Kushi with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and The Family Star with Mrunal Thakur could not do any wonders at the box office. While the Tollywood actor was never a huge superstar like Prabhas or Mahesh Babu, he did achieve a lot of fame and name with some of his hits like Arjun Reddy and Mahanati.

Vijay Deverakonda has always said that he is open to working with all the actors and directors and performing different roles. But he now seems to be averse to the idea of working with newcomers, especially newbie directors. In an interview, the Geetha Govindam actor said, "I don't work with debutants now. At least they need to be 1-film old. Because it is a huge challenge to take up when you come straight onto the set. It's a lot of pressure to handle a budget, to handle scale."

He added, "When they do 1-film .. all of us get better with films. Your first film just gets you into the groove. It's like having that practice match. It's like warming up. So I need them warm and ready for me. So when I come I come all out and I need them to be fully ready to exploit me and use me. So I don't work with debutants. Even if they are one film old I see that their music sense their edit sense, and their visual storytelling are correct. Their film does not need to be a hit. They are one film old and I like them then I'm game to work with anyone."

Vijay Deverakonda has worked in many movies over the years and maybe he has taken this decision of not working with a debutant based on his experience. Even then netizens believe that it is not the right decision because he has been launched by a debutant Pelli Choopulu and his biggest hit Arjun Reddy was directed by newcomer-Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
