Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli expecting their 2nd child! AB de Villiers confirms

Actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli are one of the most loved celebrity couples. The duo tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their daughter in 2021. Anushka’s low-key presence in the spotlight fuelled the rumours that the celebrity couple is readying to welcome a second child. However, now it seems that the rumours were absolutely true. 

Notably, rumours have been abuzz for a couple of months that Anushka and Virat are anticipating a second child. Meanwhile, Anushka’s distance from the spotlight and occasional sightings of a noticeable baby bump intensified the speculations. Moreover, Virat’s withdrawal from the first two tests against England in the ongoing series added fuel to it.

However, recently, former South Africa captain AB de Villiers confirmed that the couple is expecting the arrival of a second child.

On Saturday, the South African cricketer raised the curtains from the rumours during a Q&A session on his YouTube channel. He confirmed that Virat and Anushka are expecting their second child when a fan inquired about Virat’s absence from the first two tests of the ongoing series against England.

AB de Villiers stated, “I did text him, hear from him. I cannot give too much information; all I know is he’s fine and spending a bit of time with his family. That’s the reason for missing the first few Test matches against England.”

Further, sharing more details about his conversation with Virat, he said, “Let me just see what he said. I just want to at least give you a little bit of love.” 

He continued, “So, I wrote to him, ‘Been wanting to check in with you for a while now, biscuits. How are you?’”

Sharing about Kohli’s response, De Villiers said, “Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.”

Further, expressing support for Kohli’s family prioritisation, the South African cricketer added, “Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that.”

Well, fans seem to be quite delighted soon after reports confirming Anushka and Virat’s second child surfaced.
