Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has drawn up a comprehensive plan for the activities which will be undertaken for the students of Class 1 to 8 in schools after the summer vacation during the academic year 2022-23.

In a letter to all District Education Officers-cum-DPCs, OSEPA state director Anupam Shah has asked the concerned officials to initiate special measures to cover 100 % syllabus through a well-planned academic calendar.

The move aims at ensuring learning process in a systematic way after the schools reopen after the summer break. The academic calendar is also crucial as the new academic session is to be started after the summer vacation.

Following activities to be undertaken in schools after summer vacation:

Headmaster of the school may convene a meeting with all teachers regarding preparation of scheme of lesson, time table lesson plan/lesson note, in a systematic manner on the reopening day of the school after vacation.

The books developed under FLN (Class-I to III) and LCP books (Class-IV to VIII) will be administrated along with text books of the concerned grade.

Time table (Class wise / Subject wise) must be hang in each class.

Alter analysis of results of end line tests, care should be taken by the subject teachers for students securing low marks. At the same, students having high scores should be given opportunity to explorg their knowledge through supplementary regarding materials, creative working quiz debate etc.

Peer group learning should be encouraged and facilitated The teacher can take up innovative ideas if any to fill the gap in learning loss of the children.

CRCC of the concerned cluster must give pedagogical/online support to teachers and track class-wise subject-wise results of all schools in the cluster.

Safety and security of the children should be ensured.

Child-friendly school environment should be ensured in each school.

Class supervision should be made by the HM of the school, it should be recorded in the supervision register and communicated to the concerned teacher.

Written work correction Register should be verified by the headmaster of the school and communicated to the concerned teacher.

Lesson note of all the teachers should be verified by the headmaster and record the remarks.
