The Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the complete timetable for the compartment and improvement examinations for Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC), 2021.

Both the crucial examinations will begin from August 16 onwards.

As per the official notification, the compartment and improvement exams for Class 10 will begin on August 16 and end on September 2, 2021. Similarly, the compartment and improvement exams for Class 12 will begin on August 16 and will end on September 7, 2021.

Here are key instructions:

Issue of statement of marks and pass certificates-

Improvement examination: The candidates who appear in the improvement examination in specific subject (s) and who will be awarded changed marks must return the previous statement of marks and the pass certificates, if applicable, in original to the Council through their respective schools.

On receipt of the same the revised Statement of Marks and the Pass Certificates, if applicable, will be sent to the candidates' school. These marks will reflect their updated marks in the subjects for which he/she appeared as per the Council's record. The marks obtained by the candidates in the Improvement Examination shall be considered as their final marks.

Candidates who are absent at the Improvement Examination:

Candidates who are unable to take the improvement examination on the scheduled date(s) will be marked absent. The imputed marks already awarded to the candidates will remain unchanged.

Important Instructions to be strictly followed by the candidates appearing for the examinations

1. Candidates must reach the examination centre well ahead of time to ensure staggered movement and smooth entry to avoid overcrowding.

2. Candidates must maintain social distancing in their movement from the main school gate to the examination hall.

3. During entry to and exit from the examination hall, candidates are advised to do so in a staggered manner to maintain social distancing norms.

4. Candidates must use face masks/cover and carry their own hand sanitizer. The use of gloves is optional.

5. Candidates are required to bring their own writing stationery /art material and avoid sharing the same with other candidates.

6. Candidates are required to carry their Admission Cards to the examination hall.

7. In addition to the time indicated on the timetable for writing the paper, 15 minutes time is given for reading the question paper.

8. The question paper will be distributed to candidates at 10.45 am to enable them to start writing at 11.00 am.

9. Candidates need to strictly follow all the safety instructions at the examination centre.
