Chennai: The crucial seat-sharing talks between DMK and Congress for the Tamil Nadu assembly polls, due in May,would be held here tomorrow, TNCC president KV Thankgabalu said on Saturday.

The five-member panel in each party set up for this purpose would meet at DMK headquarters Anna Arivalayam, Thagkabalu said in a statement here.

The talks comes after the ruling DMK clinched its first poll deal with PMK yesterday,where the latter was allotted 31 seats.

The Congress panel comprises of Union Ministers P Chidambaram and GK Vasan besides Thangabalu,party spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan and K Jayakumar MLA.

The DMK panel will be represented by Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, Ministers Arcot N Veeraswamy, Durai Murugan, K Ponmudi and Lok Sabha MP TR Baalu.

Congress had recently held its consultative meeting with its elected representatives and other senior members, who had felt that the party should demand around 70 seats from the DMK.

Congress extends its crucial 34-MLAs support for the DMK (99 MLAs) in the 234-member assembly.
