Sundargarh shocker: Drunk father kills 3 children, dumps bodies in well

 In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his three children and dumped their bodies in a well at Kula village under Koida police limits in Sundargarh district on Saturday night.

Though the exact reason behind the murders is unclear, it is suspected that the accused, identified as Pandu Munda, committed the crime in an inebriated condition.

Sources said Pandu initially had picked up a fight with his wife Dubuli last night and tried to attack her first.

“My husband came and assaulted me. After he pulled an axe to attack me, I ran out of the house to save my life. I don’t know how he killed my children,” said Dubuli.

According to Dubuli, her husband killed her 5-year-old daughter Seema, 2-year-old son Raju and another child whom they had not named yet. Following the incident, police have reached the village and started an investigation.

The accused is absconding and efforts are on to nab him.

The Odisha Fire Services personnel have fished out the bodies of all the three children from the well. “As the well is deep, it took around 40 minutes to recover the bodies,” said an official.
