Sambalpur shocker! Minor girl gangraped inside dhaba, 6 detained

A minor girl was allegedly gangraped inside a dhaba along national highway 53 in Gosala area of Burla in Sambalpur district. 

Six persons have been detained in this connection for questioning after a complaint was lodged at Burla police station.

Among the detainees are the owner of the dhaba and a woman. The interrogation of the detainees is on for further inquiry into the case. 

The medical examination of the survivor has been conducted.

Sambalpur superintendent of police (SP) B Gangadhar said, "The minor girl was taken to the dhaba and gangraped by four persons. A case has been registered in this regard. One person who enticed the girl and took her to the eatery and her guardian have been arrested while the four accused who raped her have been detained."

"The medical examination of the survivor was conducted and necessary treatment was provided to her. The girl's statement will be recorded in the presence of a magistrate and legal action will be taken as per law," he added.
