The Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) has been in the news for various reasons, sometimes for a fake patient and some other times for a fake doctor. In the latest episode, a police complaint was lodged against a woman who allegedly worked at the Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) by impersonating as a staff nurse.

It was reported that the woman was working in the guise of a staff nurse at the RGH for three long years.

During this period, she worked in various wards. The medical authorities somehow came to know that she was not a staff nurse of the hospital. Following this, the hospital authorities lodged a police complaint against her. The said woman is reportedly absconding.

When asked, RGH superintendent Dr JP Das said, “We have 150 to 170 staff nurses in our hospital. Besides, nursing, laboratory, and technician students are also visiting our hospital. So, it is quite impossible to identify someone personally. I came to know that she has been coming to our hospital since 2020. The girl has stopped visiting the hospital after she was identified. I have lodged a complaint at the Raghunathpali Police Station.”

Meanwhile, the hospital authorities have started inspecting the footage captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the hospital to know her activities during the period when she was coming to the hospital.
