Kolkata: To beat the sweltering heat and extreme humidity, the city is reeling under, cinestar Parambrata Chatterjee loves to savour home-made `sherbet` in the morning.

Asked if a combo of kebab and chilled beer can soothe the scorching heat outside, Param, a.k.a cop Rana in superhit Kahaani, told PTI "I would love to have that experience first."

Eminent band singer Anindyo, a self-confessed foodie, also vouched for the combo, especially the beer. "One should go light on the gastronomical front if the mercury shoots up and kebab can be a perfect antidote," he said when asked at an event.

Actor Mumtaj Sorcar would also go for it, especially sizzlers like kebab on a hot and humid day.

"We are here to cater to celebs and commoners on the same platter with our delectable `Ajwaini Jhinga,` `Mutton Seekh Kebab` and `Chilli Milli Kebabs`, said Sagnik majumdar, the chief chef of `Khanasutra`, the first ever North Indian restaurant at The Chrome Hotel having introduced these authentic middle east kebab dishes, from May 16 to 21, in this metropolis.

"I had worked in various restaurants at places including Abu Dhabi, Doha, Cairo as chefs and these dishes were carefully chosen keeping in mind the climate conditions and clientele taste here," Majumder said.
