The Supreme Court has asked the Odisha government to respond within six weeks to a plea by Dara Singh, serving a life sentence for the 1999 murder of Australian missionary Graham Stuart Staines and his two sons, seeking his premature release on grounds of repentance and reform.

Patanjali Ayurved informed the Supreme Court that it has withdrawn the sales and advertisements of certain products following the suspension of their manufacturing licenses by the Uttarakhand State Licencing Authority.
