New Delhi: India has submitted 161 cases of over-staying Indians in Yemen to Immigration authorities there for waiver of penalties of over 10 million Yemeni Riyal (YR) and has provided free tickets to 61 of its nationals in the war-torn country.

Out of the 61 Indians, 45 are leaving the country today and 16 will leave tomorrow, Public Diplomacy (PD) division of the External Affairs Ministry said.

"Last date for registering with Embassy of India, Sana`a for provision of free tickets is Wednesday, 15th June. Please, call helpline for assistance," a tweet by Indian Embassy in Sana`a said.

The embassy tweets were re-tweeted by PD division.

Clashes have killed over 200 people so far, signaling no respite to the violence in the poor Arab nation shaken by months of unrest.
