Beed (Maharashtra): Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde on Thursday said he had differences with Nitin Gadkari as to how to run the state party unit, but not "differences of heart".

Munde, who announced a tour of drought-hit areas of Maharashtra and launch of an agitation against the state government at Parli near here, said he was saddened by Gadkari losing out on a second term as BJP president.

"We differ over how to run the party, but we don't have differences of heart," Munde said, replying to a query.

The two BJP leaders from Maharashtra are known for their bitter rivalry.

Munde said he would take out a 'Sangharh-yatra' against the Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra.
