Ranchi: Four policemen were injured in an encounter with Maoists at Barangburu forests in Jharkhand`s Khunti district today.

"The encounter broke out during search operation and the injuries to policemen were minor," a senior police officer told PTI here.

The encounter broke out during search operation in Barangburu, about 80 km from the state capital.

Blood stains were found on the Maoists` side after they retreated following retaliatory attack, indicating that the rebels too sufferred casualties, he said.
