Muzaffarnagar: A teenager, declared dead by a doctor in a state-run hospital, regained consciousness in the mortuary, prompting the UP government to suspend the medical practitioner, a top health official said here today. "17-year-old Radhey was rushed to a government hospital here in an unconscious state on November 5, where he was declared dead by Dr Pradeep Mittal," CMO Anand Swaroop said.

His body was then sent to the hospital mortuary where he regained consciousness the next day and was shifted to a hospital in Meerut. "The boy is recovering and is now out of danger," Swaroop said, adding that Mittal was suspended on Monday by the health department for negligence of duty.
