C P Joshi lays foundation stone for Rs 1600-cr worth projects

Joshi, in presence of Union Minister for Urban Development and Chhindwara MP Kamal Nath, laid the foundation stone for a 52-km long ring road and four railway overbridges.

On the occasion, he said his ministry has approved projects worth Rs 20,000 crore for constructing quality roads in the country.

Joshi claimed that only the Congress government was capable of giving a strong Lokpal to the nation. "Only Congress is capable of giving the country a strong Lokpal. All efforts are being made in that direction," he added.

Joshi alleged that funds provided by the Centre were being misused in the BJP ruled states.

Meanwhile, attacking the Madhya Pradesh government, Nath said corruption is at its peak under the
present regime.

He further alleged that the state government was creating a fertiliser crisis to benefit traders at the
cost of poor farmers.
