Pro-People, Pro-Growth & Transformative Budget: Odisha CM Naveen
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik termed the annual State budget 2021 presented by Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari as a pro-people, pro-growth and transformative budget.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “#OdishaBudget2021 is a pro-people, pro-growth and transformative budget in our journey towards “New Odisha – Empowered Odisha.”

Odisha Economy To Grow At 10-11% In 2021-22: FM
Despite the severe impact of COVID-19 pandemic, Odisha’s own revenue is estimated to register a robust growth of about 10 % during 2020-21, though there is a decline in the central transfer, said Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari in his budget speech.

Rs 969 Crore Earmarked For Food Security
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari said Rs 969 crore has been earmarked under the food security scheme for supplying 5 kg rice and 1 kg dal to beneficiaries every month.
- Elephant corridor power infra improvement – Rs 120 crore
- Biju Expressway – Rs 100 crore
- Rs 912 crore – Biju Setu Yojana
- PMGSY – Rs 2000 crore
- Rs 100 crore for improving airstrips in Odisha
- Rs 100 crore each for Cuttack bus terminal & Baramunda Bus Stand
- Police – justice and internal security – Rs 6424 crore
- CCTNS – Rs 30 crore
- Land bank scheme – Rs 50 crore of which 20 crore for Odisha economic corridor

- MAMATA – Rs 279 crore
- Mission Shakti – Rs 316 crore
- Rs 2286 crore for providing nutrition to children below 6 years registered in Anganwadi centres
- Kalia scheme – allocation slashed to Rs 1800 crore from Rs 3,195 crore in 2020-21
- Rs 105 crore for Divayang empowerment.
- Food security –Rs 969 core for supplying 5 kg rice and 1 kg dal every month

Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari tabled the annual State Budget for the 2021-22 financial year in the State Assembly. An outlay of Rs 1800 Crore has been made for KALIA scheme.
