The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has rescheduled the computer skill test to be conducted for the Group B post of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in Odisha Secretariat Service.

The computer skill test, which was earlier scheduled to be conducted on November 27, has been deferred by a day and now will be conducted on December 4. The OPSC said the skill test has been rescheduled due to pre-scheduled OPSC OES (School Branch) Examination.

“It is for information of all concerned that the Computer Skill Test for recruitment to the post of Assistant Section Officer, pursuant to Advertisement No. 26 of 2021-22 is likely to be conducted as per the following programme instead of 27.11.2022 due to pre-scheduled OPSC OES (School Branch) Examination,”  the OPSC.

As per the programme released by the commission, the computer skill test will be conducted from 10.30 am to 11.30 am (10.30 A.M. to 11.50 A.M. for PWD candidates) on 04.12.2022 (Sunday).

“The candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission (www.opsc.gov.in) regularly for more information regarding Examination Centres and Admission Certificate,” the commission added.

The ASO written examination result was declared on November 7, and a total of 1104 candidates have been selected for document verification and skill test.

However, a large numbers of aspirants had alleged irregularities in the selection process and moved the Orissa High Court seeking judicial intervention in the matter. Though the court refused to intervene into the matter, it asked the OPSC to publish the merit list as per the 2016 guidelines of the commission.
