Educational Criteria And Work Experience

Professor: The candidates need to possess a Ph.D degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant disciplines from a recognised institute and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations, 2018.

A minimum of ten years of post-doctoral teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

Associate Professor: Candidates with a good academic record with Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines from a reputed University awarded in regular mode. A Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).

A minimum of eight years of post-doctoral experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of seventy five (75) as per UGC Regulations, 2018

Assistant Professor: A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject recognised institue university. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree.

A minimum of three years post-doctoral teaching/research/professional experience excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.

Deputy Finance Officer: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade from a recognized University/ Institute with excellent academic record. 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 10 and above with experience in educational administration. Candidates MBA with an experience of working in a Finance Dept. in an University/ institution is preferred.

Junior Accounts Officer: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade from a recognized University/ Institute with excellent academic record. A minimum work experience in the Finance Department in any university/ institution is preferred.

Assistant Librarian: The candidates need to possess a Master’s degree in Library Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks with a minimum experience of working as a librarian.

Assistant Registrar: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade from a recognized University/ Institute with excellent academic record. Working experience in a University System at similar position or 3 years as Office Superintendent.

Administrative Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade from a recognized University/Institute with excellent academic record. 3 years work experience, preferably in a University/Institute of Higher learning in the capacity of Assistant/ Jr Assistant in Level 4 (7 CPC) or equivalent.

Junior Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade from a recognized University/ Institute with excellent academic record. Work experience, preferably in a University/Institute of Higher learning.

Age Limit

The candidates applying for Professor post should not be more than 55 years of age while those applying for Associate Professor should not be more than 50 years and candidates applying for Assistant Professor should not be more than 35 years.

Candidates applying for Deputy Finance Officer should be less than 50 years, while Junior Accounts Officer, Assistant Librarian and Assistant Registrar should be less than 40 years. Those applying for Administrative Assistant should not be more than 35 years of age and Junior Assistant should not be less than 28 years.

Pay scale: The candidates will get a pay scale as per the recommendations of 7th pay commission (CPC).
