When it comes to traveling just being excited and booking seats is not the only most important thing. What to take along, how to pack your bags and what are the ‘must’ things to keep in mind so that you can enjoy your travel to the hilt are some of the points that you must keep in mind. Celebrity nutrition and exercise science expert Rujuta Diwekar has the most practical approach in this case.

Here are the few traveling tips directly from the fitness counselor of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ambanis:

1. Stay Hydrated

The first tip from Rujuta is to carry a water bottle wherever you go. Staying hydrated is the foremost thing when you are traveling because you tend to travel through different seasons and climatic conditions which can take a toll on the water level in your body. Replenishing the lost fluids frequently is one way to avoid dehydration. Also, it ensures that you do not have to compromise on the quality of water you are drinking.

2. No Tea Or Coffee On Flights

Rujuta advises avoiding tea or coffee on flights. It should be followed from one hour before and after boarding the flight. But she says while you are on the road it is okay to have these beverages.

3. Checking In Hotels With Gym Facilities

According to Rujuta, you must pick up only those hotels that offer gym access and yoga mat so that you do not lose on your workout routine while traveling. She advises travelers to carry their yoga mat if possible.

4. Eating Khichdi/dal-chawal Before Stepping Out

Rujuta advises eating either khichdi or dal-chawal before stepping out in the night. Make sure you intimate the hotel staff in advance that you will need it for dinner so that you do not end up compromising and eating something unhealthy as an emergency.

5. Practice Suptabaddhakonasana Before Bedtime

Lying in Suptabadhakonasana at least for 5 minutes at bedtime soothes menopause symptoms and pain and offers many other health benefits.
