Preity Zinta turns 36, debuts as a producer

Mumbai: As Preity Zinta turned a year older today several B-town celebrities took to Twitter to greet the bubbly actress and wished for her successful stint as a film producer.

Preity, who turned 36 today, is resurrecting her acting career in Bollywood. She would be seen on celluloid after almost a gap of two years with her maiden home production `Ishkq in Paris`.

After creating a storm at the box office with her films like `Koi Mil Gaya`, `Kal Ho Na Ho`, `Veer Zaara`, `Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna` and others, Preity changed gears and became an owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab.

"@realpreityzinta hey wish you a very happy birthday P Zee-have a fantastic year n a blockbuster debut as a producer…love always," actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted.

"Happy b`day to the coolest, spunkiest @realpreityzinta ! May you be a super successful producer & may all things wonderful come your way! Big hug luv," singer Sophie Choudry said.

"Here`s wishing one of my favourites a very happy birthday @realpreityzinta have a super year Z, filled with loads of "tings", actor Abhishek Bachchan said.

Thanking everyone for the warm wishes, Preity tweeted, "Thank you guys and gals for your sweet Birthday messages! I have the biggest grin on my face reading them. Thanks for always putting a smile on my face! Ting."

Preity is not in town to bring in the birthday as she is busy shooting for her home production `Ishkq In Paris`.

"Watching the snowflakes slowly cover the roses and all the city of Lyon! Shooting `Ishkq In Paris` in Lyon & Freezing," she said.

Last year the bubbly actress launched her own production company, PZNZ Media. The first film produced under the banner, a romantic comedy featuring her in the lead is directed by Prem Soni. The film is expected to release this year.
