The 24-year-old actress, who started her career with `Gangster` and went on to play a schizophrenic in `Voh Lamhe, says she wants to be a part of performance oriented roles, which have longer shelf life.
"I want to make films which I think would be enjoyed tremendously by the audience and boast of a long shelf life. In fact my dream would be to do a classic like `Mughal-E-Azam`. Now that`s the kind of a film which never goes stale and people would want to watch again and again," Ranaut told media.
Last year, she was part of hit `Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai` and two duds `Knock Out` and `No Problem`. But she started new year with the successful romantic comedy `Tanu Weds Manu`, about a small-town girl, who likes to follow her heart.
And Ranaut attributes the success of `Tanu Weds Manu` to the script which made it all possible for this Aanand L Rai directed film to find an audience.
"That`s what matters most; a story that you think people will enjoy watching. I would give any script great consideration but eventually end up picking the one which I believe would entertain audience," says Kangna.
"I went by my instinct for this film. I could see that it was a terrific script and I had faith in Aanand as soon as I met the director," she adds.
The actress has a full year ahead with movies like `Game`, `Double Dhamaal`, `Tezz`, `One&Only`, `Happy New Year` as well as `Rascals` and wants to slow down from next year.
"I am actually giving it all a serious thought. I have been constantly thinking about reducing my work load a little and hence would be taking it a bit easier next year," says Ranaut whose `Game` releases on 1st April.
