Mumbai: Actor Aamir Khan has showered praise on his actor-friend Sharman Joshi for his new film `Ferrari ki Sawari` and wished that it should do better than `3 Idiots`.

Aamir and Sharman had shared screen space in `Rang De Basanti` and `3 Idiots`. "I am here to wish the entire team. I am sure it will be a nice film and Sharman is a very good actor and my best wishes are with all of them. Madhavan is not in India but he has also wished him (Sharman) good luck. We wish that Sharman goes ten steps ahead of `3 Idiots` with this film (`Ferrari Ki Sawari`)," Aamir told reporters here last night.

"All those who have watched `3 Idiots` must see this film as well. Hope this film does well than `3 idiots`. Unfortunately due to my schedule I won`t be able to stay to watch the film now, I will see it in two-three weeks. I am really hoping that this film is as big a hit, if not bigger than `3 Idiots`," he said.

Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, "Ferrari Ki Sawari` is a heart-warming tale of unconditional love between a father, played by Sharman Joshi, and his son and is about the young boy`s dream to play cricket at the Lords stadium. "Rajesh Mapuskar is also a talented person and I am hopeful that it will be a nice film," Aamir said.

Meanwhile, Sharman, the lead actor of the movie, said, "We are honored that Aamir has come. We have had several screenings and the response has been good, we are grateful for that. We have got an outstanding response. People have been generous with their praise. We are looking forward to its release."

The film also stars Boman Irani and the actor is elated with the response to the film. "I saw the movie when it was screened at different places, people have loved, cried. We are touched by this response. I am sure the film will be liked by all, as it is made straight from heart," Boman said.

"I don`t know about the film being blockbuster and all that trade and producers will talk. It is an innocent and a sweet film. We are now confident. We don`t know about box office...that producers know it better," he said.

B-town celebrities like Prem Chopra, Sudhir Mishra, Arshad Warsi, Sonu Sood, Fardeen Khan and others had come last night for the premiere of the movie at Cinemax in Versova. "I saw the promos...it was a warm feeling to see the relation between a father and son. It will be entertaining and I wish them luck," Fardeen said.

"It is a very nice film, the promos are looking amazing. The story will be good and will be touching. It will be heart warming; it will tell you about life and will also entertain," Mishra said.
