London: The 23rd film of the superhit `Bond` franchise has finally got a release date, October 26, 2012.

The series has been revived after being shelved last year and producers, MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment, announced that the next installment will be released late next year, reported Daily Mail online.

The eagerly anticipated next episode of the spy thriller will hold its traditionally lavish London premiere on October 26 before opening in the US on November 9.

Daniel Craig will return for his third stint as the agent with a licence to kill in the as-yet-untitled film.

After initially facing heavy criticism over his casting in 2005, being the first blonde Bond, the British actor achieved record-high grosses for the franchise with `Casino Royale` and `Quantum of Solace`.

The actor is contracted to star in two further Bond films following the upcoming installment.

The next Bond adventure will be helmed by Oscar nominated Sam Mendes and Judi Dench will reprise her role as M, while Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem are both rumoured to be joining the cast.
