Anderson wants to be a goodwill ambassador
The 44-year-old model and actress is already an animal rights campaigner and she now wants to put her fame and power to good use by joining the United Nations to help those less fortunate than her, reported Contactmusic.
"An aspiration of mine since I started in this business is to one day fulfil the role of goodwill ambassador to the UN. I“ve always thought this was a romantic, interesting element of stardom, back to the days of Audrey Hepburn.
"I“ve always included social issues as well as animal issues in whatever country I“m visiting – no matter how trivial the job may seem. I use the possibilities and opportunities I“m blessed with to bring awareness, which makes me feel great. It brings meaning to my career in a unique way," she said.
Anderson also said that she has a lot of views and opinions on the world and is disappointed she never gets asked about them.
"If I could interview myself, I“d ask the questions I never get asked – my political views, views on art, culture, the world. Poignant writers. Global issues that I have strong opinions about. We“ll get there," she said.
