Security forces in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, achieved a significant breakthrough by recovering three IEDs from a terrorist hideout. Weighing between 3 to 20 kgs, the devices were safely destroyed by bomb squads, thwarting potential attacks ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Four terrorist associates identified as Md Yaseen Bhat, Sheraz Ahmad Rather, Gulam Hassan Khandey and Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat who were moving in a vehicle were apprehended.
The arrested terrorist has been identified as Javeed Mattoo, a resident of Sopore in J&K. He was allegedly involved in five grenade attacks in the Valley.
