Angul: Main accused in murder of two youths arrested

Angul: The main accused in the murder of two youths in Kushakila village under Jarpada police limits in Angul district was arrested by police today. The accused has been identified as Jhasaketan Rout.

Notably, two youths, Rajkishore Sahoo and Hiranakshya Sahoo, went missing recently.

Acting on a complaint filed by family members of the deceased suspecting the role of Jhasketan, police had detained him for questioning

Based on the information extracted from Jhasketan during interrogation, the two dead bodies were recovered from the back side of a school building where they were buried 15 feet underground.

In the meantime, family members of the victims met the Police DIG and urged him to initiate a high-level inquiry into the matter.
