One Maoist killed in encounter

Bhubaneswar:  One Maoist was killed in an exchange of fire between police and Maoists at Sapua forest in Keonjhar.

The Maoist has been identified as the member of Kalinga Nagar division of the banned outfit.

The joint combing operation launched by Keonjhar- Jajpur police at Sapua forest raided a Maoist camp. The forces retaliated when the rebels opened fire at them.

No causality has been reported from the police side.

Two guns and large amount of arms and ammunitions were seized from the stop. The combing operation is still going on.
