Bhubaneswar: Eminent musicologist, composer and vocalist Gopal Chandra Panda will receive prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi award for 2011 from president Pranab Mukherjee at a special function in Delhi today.

Panda will receive purse money of Rupees one lakh, angavastram and tamrapatra, an official release said.

Malaysian dancer Ramli Ibrahim will also receive the coveted award for his contribution to the field of Odissi dance.

Panda vocalist has already been conferred with the coveted Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award for 2009 by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the master
