Born into a poor family, Sahu toiled hard to get a job in the police department. Then he took a vow that he wouldn’t let the dream of youths to join the police or the Indian Army shatter into pieces.

Expressing grief over the tragedy, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has announced to support those affected and expedite settlement claims to provide financial relief.
Due to the mishap, several trains have been cancelled, diverted and rescheduled.
Patnaik assured PM Modi that the Odisha government is taking all possible steps to save the lives of the injured passengers who are currently undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the state.
The Railway Minister further stated that the mishap has nothing to do with Kavach.
