WhatsApp is said to be rolling out a new update called 'Do Not Disturb' mode support for missed calls to some beta testers.
"The brief outage was a result of a technical error on our part and has now been resolved," a Meta company spokesperson had said.

In May, along with new features, the company rolled out the ability to add up to 512 people to a group from 256 people.

About 68 per cent mobile subscribers, on an average, receive 4 or more promotional or spam SMSs every day with every subscriber surveyed getting spam, according to online community platform LocalCircles.
"These statistics confirm the assumption that the 'Mozi' botnet is on autopilot, running without human supervision since its reputed author was arrested in 2021," said the report.
The submission by the Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta, on behalf of the Centre, came during a hearing on a batch of pleas challenging the instant messaging app WhatsApp's privacy policy.
The government has, however, proposed to give exemption to press messages that are intended to be published in India of correspondents accredited to the Central or state governments from being intercepted.
This feature is under development, so it is unclear when WhatsApp will release the changes to people.
In addition, when a message is deleted for everyone in the group, all other group participants can see that a certain group admin has deleted the message.
The viral message also mentioned that action will be taken against people for forwarding messages. However, a fact check by PIB revealed that the message is ‘fake.’
After launching several new features this year, Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out the ability to watch Status directly from WhatsApp's chat list for iOS users.
The redesigned WhatsApp has a slightly cleaner interface when compared to the previous version of the app but otherwise does not look all that different.
Cyber cell and surveillance teams are also working on tracking the sender.
