Polling to elect the next Vice President of India is underway on Saturday and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first to cast his vote in the Parliament House.
After the election of veteran leader Draupadi Murmu as the President of India, all eyes are now on the vice presidential election scheduled to be held on Saturday (August 6).
Election for the Vice President scheduled to take place on Saturday will witness a fight between NDA nominee Jagdeep Dhankhar and Opposition candidate Margaret Alva.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also held a discussion with Odisha Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik seeking his support to Dhankar.
The election will be held on August 6 and the votes counted on the same day.
