According to the sources, both India and China moved back their frontline troops from the face-off site of PP-15 in the Gogra-Hotsprings area in eastern Ladakh and dismantled temporary infrastructure there as part of a five-day disengagement process.
It further demanded that China should be held accountable for all the atrocities committed to the people of Tibet, Uyghurs, as well as in Taiwan, Hong Kong and southern Mongolia and to release all the imprisoned Tibetan political prisoners unconditionally.
Jaishankar and Wang have met in Moscow and Tajik capital Dushanbe on the sidelines of multilateral events in the last one-and-a-half years. But this is the first high-level visit between India and China after their ties came under severe strain following the border standoff in eastern Ladakh nearly two years ago.
