Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has extended his support to the mahapanchayat called in support of Shrikant Tyagi in Noida.
The attack happened when Tikait was attending a press conference on "Raita Chaluvali, Aatmavalokana haagu Spasteekarana Sabha (Farmer's Movement, Introspection and Clarification Meeting)" organised by Karnataka State Farmers Association and Hasiru Sene.
Naresh Tikait has been removed from the president's post and so has BKU spokesman Rakesh Tikait.
"We are accepting the consensus arrived at by our five-member committee and the government," Tikait added.
"The protest will not be withdrawn immediately, we will wait for the day when the farm laws are repealed in Parliament. Along with MSP, the government should talk to farmers on other issues too," Tikait tweeted in Hindi.
This is the third Bharat Bandh since the three agricultural laws were passed by Parliament.
