A lifelike statue of OTV’s braveheart journalist Arindam Das was unveiled on his first death anniversary. The statue was unveiled by OTV MD Jagi Mangat Panda at Arindam’s ancestral village in Raikala, Keonjhar. A memorial service was also held at his village in which a book on Arindam’s works was released.

Following the unveiling of the statue, a memorial service was also held at his village which was joined by OTV News Editor Radhamadhab Mishra, other senior officials of OTV, family members and eminent personalities including OTV MD Jagi Mangat Panda.

The body of OTV Chief Reporter Arindam Das was consigned to flames at his ancestral village at Raikala in Keonjhar on the banks of River Baitarani on Saturday.

A pal of gloom descended over the Odisha Television Limited’s (OTV) office at Patia in Bhubaneswar on Friday and sadness gripped when the news of the death of daredevil journalist Arindam Das, landed at the channel’s input.
