The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) too is now keen to grab votes by highlighting its own schemes instead of raking up its regular ‘Central neglect’ cry.
It is pertinent to mention here that the AICC General Secretary Sarat Rout had recently met party president Mallikarjun Kharge and disciplinary panel member Tariq Anwar. Sources said Rout has also urged the high command to reconsider the suspension of Chiranjib Biswal and Mohammad Moquim.
The senior Congress leader further alleged that people are now living under haphazard conditions. There has been no gram sabha and no action has been taken towards rehabilitation, Patnaik said.
Apart from this, questions are also being asked whether the BJD is trying to play the ‘religious sentiments’-card ahead of the polls or is it a ploy to play the ‘soft Hindutva'-card to checkmate the BJP?
“I have self-respect and have always been a disciplined worker. I do not fear action. I extend my wishes if mission 90 from 9 is achieved without me and my family,” said Biswal.
