People in western Odisha celebrated the most important agrarian and social festival Nuakhai, which began on Thursday. This year, the festival is being celebrated with pomp and grandeur.
On the eve of Nuakhai on September 10th, Tisya and her father Priyadarshee dived into the sea at the ‘Dibba Rock’ and from a depth of 40 feet they sent out their ‘Nuakhai’ wish to the people.
The principal agrarian festival of western Odisha Nuakhai is being celebrated today. Though the festival is celebrated with fervour every year, this year it has been a muted affair in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
