Breaking his silence for the first time after getting bail from the Supreme Court, the legislator said he was not sorry for the March 12 incident.
Setting conditions, the top court said Jagdev cannot go to his assembly constituency for a year. He can only visit with the Collector's permission.
The Orissa High Court on Friday declined to grant bail to Chilika MLA Prashant Jagdev in connection with a road rage incident caused by the legislator which left as many as 22 people injured in Khordha in March earlier this year.
The MLA was arrested for ramming his car into a crowd in Khordha district recently which left at least 22 persons injured.
Prashant Jagdev has been charged with serious offences like attempt to murder, obstructing police personnel from performing their duty, injuring public, using car as weapon to hurt people.
