With water level of the Mahanadi rivers rising sharply, severaly areas of the state have been flooded. The video shows how a temple in Binika, Sonepur district was submerged by Mahanadi floodwater.

Drone visuals capture the extent of flooding in Mahanadi River in Athagarh & Banki areas. More water will be released from the Hirakud dam tonight which might trigger further rise in water levels in rivers.

With the floodwater level rising in several rivers in the Mahanadi basin, a number of breaches were reported in Odisha with floodwater entering lower catchment areas.
