Indrani, former media executive and the wife of media baron Peter Mukerjea, had strangulated her daughter Sheena in a car with the help of her former husband Sanjeev Khanna, Rai claimed.

A three-judge bench headed by Justice L Nageswara Rao said the trial is not going to be completed anytime soon.

Bora (24) was allegedly strangled to death in a car by Mukerjea, her then driver Shyamvar Rai and former husband Sanjeev Khanna in April 2012. The body was burnt in a forest in neighbouring Raigad district.

Though the CBI has not reacted, some reports have suggested what could be a fresh twist to the sensational murder case that erupted six-and-half years ago with the arrest of Mukerjeas' driver Shyamvar Rai who had spilled the beans on Sheena Bora's killing.
