According to IMD, this year for the first time, Bolangir and Titlagarh are the two cities that crossed 45 degrees Celsius mark on Thursday with the temperatures climbing to 45.3 and 45.2 degrees respectively. 

India Meteorological Department (IMD) Bhubaneswar regional centre on Thursday sounded Yellow Warning for as many as eight districts.  

As per Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, high humidity may make life miserable in most parts of the coastal areas during the period. 

While the temperature recorded in Khordha was 37.5 degrees Celsius in the daytime, Capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 37.6 degrees Celsius daytime temperature.
