Reports of cracks developing at several places in the Hirakud dam have come to the fore.The revelation has kicked off discussions regarding the safety of the dam. The report mentions that the cracks were noticed in operation gallery, foundation gallery, gate shaft and sluice barrels of both left and right spillway.
