BJD MLA Sambit Routray said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi or BJP will have no impact in Odisha. What will make a difference are Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the Jagannath culture. No other thing will come into play. We are least worried about what TIMES NOW says. All will see how the Chief Minister and the BJD will come out with flying colours in the upcoming elections.”    

I will stay in Odisha for three days and listen to people’s grievances, said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at a meeting in Odisha’s Biramitrapur on Tuesday.

No lobby of leaders will work to secure Congress tickets. By furnishing all the required details, leaders have to apply for tickets online, said Odisha in-charge of the Congress, Ajoy Kumar on Thursday. 

The PCC president said, "A roadshow will be conducted in Rourkela, from Rajgangpur to Sundargarh, Gadagaon and Uttara. He will have a night halt at Jharsuguda on February 7. The next morning, he will lead the Yatra to Belpahar, Hrudaynagar, and Kanaktara before entering Chhattisgarh."

Ahead of the 2024 general elections, the Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress has got its new president. Meenakshi Bahinipati, wife of senior Congress leader and Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati has been appointed as the president of the state Congress’ women wing.
