According to Sitharaman, the Government will launch a scheme to help deserving sections of the middle class living in rented houses, or slums, or chawls and unauthorized colonies to buy or build their own houses.

The Finance Minister further informed that the projects have been identified under the PM Gati Shakti for enabling multi-modal connectivity

She said that earlier, social justice was mostly a "political slogan". For this government, social justice is an effective and necessary governance model, Sitharaman said.

Presenting the interim Budget 2024-25, she said 30 crore Mudra Yojana loans have been given to women entrepreneurs.

“The aviation sector has been galvanised in the last 10 years and the number of airports have doubled to 114,” said the Finance Minister.

According to Sitharaman, the next five years will be years of unprecedented development, and golden moments to realise the dream of developed India @ 2047.

The Interim Budget has also created a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore for a 50-year interest-free loan for the farm sector.

The Finance Minister informed that a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore will be established with 50-year interest-free loan. 

The over 7 per cent growth momentum in the economy has resulted in buoyancy in tax collections that gives the Finance Minister sufficient headroom to keep the fiscal deficit in check and push economic growth with stability.
