Describing the district is famous for industries and even more popular for Baji Rout hostel and ‘sadhana petha’ of former Chief Minister Nabakrushna Choudhury and his wife Malati Choudhury, he said, in a video message, that he was delighted to launch several projects worth Rs1176 crore. This will help speed up the district’s progress.    

In the health sector, Patnaik laid the foundation stones for 5 projects which are estimated to cost over Rs 130.29 crore. The CM inaugurated multiple projects in the district and also laid the foundation stone for a 300-bedded hospital. 

The CM also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 37 development projects which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 819.61 Crore.
