Normal life came to a grinding halt following heavy rainfall that lashed smart city Bhubaneswar on Monday afternoon. As per initial reports, the rainfall adversely affected movement of vehicular traffic and caused water-logging in several low-lying pockets as well.

Congress MLA Suresh Routray said several places in the city like NH- in front of ISKCON temple, Patia, Nayapalli, Rasulgarh, Bomikhal, Baragada, Laxmisagar and Old Town went under water due heavy downpour recently.
